Discover Scuba Diving

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Professional in pool or pool-like conditions. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills and eventually head off to experience an open water adventure.

Kayaking

Historical and Ecological Tour

Paddle among lush Salt River mangrove forests that create a rich, diverse estuarine environment. You'll see red and black mangroves that prevent destructive erosion and filter pollutants from the water. The result is water that is nutrient-rich -- vital for healthy marine and wildlife. You'll see snowy egrets and sunbathing iguanas that Salt River's natural environment is protecting. Then paddle out further into the bay while discovering Indian burial grounds and villages. Learn what happened when Christopher Columbus anchored outside the reef at Salt River in 1493. Paddle the landing site as his crew did 500 years ago. Sunbathe on a pristine beach. We know you will enjoy the park's unique combination of history, ecology, and adventure.

Moonlight Kayak Tour

This is our answer to high stress: paddling into the tropical sunset, and being on the water as darkness falls. You will love kayaking in luminescent bays, beneath star-lit skies. We'll share ghost stories and legends and lore of St. Croix. The moonlight tour is an experience you'll never forget!

Jet Ski

The waters that surround Protestant Cay, home of Cruzan Watersports, are crystal clear. Sheltered by Long Reef, our Jet Ski riding area is second to none in the islands. Our new Yamaha waverunners glide over the clear blue water and provide beautiful views of the bottom of the Caribbean Sea rarely experienced in such an up close and personal way.

DPV's

Experience the magnificence of the underwater world while being towed by an underwater diving propulsion vehicle. Surpass the normal dive site boundaries and see what's lurking beyond. Go where no one else has gone!

Anyone 15 and older who has completed one boat dive with Anchor Dive Center can experience a DPV. After a short instructional session with one of our instructors, we will accompany you on a dive while using diving propulsion vehicles.

Your PADI DPV Diver program includes two open water dives, which may be conducted in one day. The first dive allows you to practice basic vehicle handling skills and the second dive prompts you to plan and execute a typical DPV dive.
